At the 2019 NetApp® INSIGHT® conference in Las Vegas, Senior Director of IT Business Applications Robert Stumpf sat down with Cloud Editor in Chief Steve Mudd to discuss rebuilding legacy systems in a hybrid cloud world.

In this podcast, Robert explains the culture shift of DevOps and describes creating an agile development methodology and approach. His teams work closely with the IT Platform, Cloud, and Infrastructure Services teams who built a platform, called CloudOne, to enable DevOps inside NetApp. Robert explains how his team rebuilt the NetApp Support site to use CloudOne and its continuous integration/continuous delivery capabilities with microservices running in containers. As part of this effort, his team created a CloudOne Business Resilient Apps (COBRA) framework that includes templates, libraries, methodologies, and processes.

Robert explains the COBRA journey, from executive buy-in to where we are today and what's in store for the future. He talks about how agility to meet business has gone up, while the total cost of ownership has gone down because of the removal of monolithic services.
