Do you ever feel like you shift your attention for a minute and miss the news you were waiting for or the best play of the game?

Well, here’s a way to catch up. Every month or so, we’ll highlight news of interest to the NetApp technical community. Besides product launches and software updates, we’ll focus on opportunities to engage with NetApp and the broader community. If a product team is looking for beta testers, we’ll let you know. We’ll also give you regular updates on new features in tools like the NetApp® Active IQ® tool and the Harvest data collector.

So, let’s get started.

Your NetApp updates for the month

The NetApp INSIGHT® conference is free to attend this year. Stay tuned for more event details. In the meantime, you can register.

NetApp recently acquired Spot. Spot by NetApp delivers compute and storage resource optimization. To learn more, visit the Spot by NetApp page on NetApp Cloud Central.

The latest update to Active IQ Digital Advisor went live on July 17. It features widget enhancements (aggregates), a wellness view, RAID and stack visualizations, and more. You can get all the details in the release notes.

The Harvest team is looking for alpha testers for version 2.0. For details, read the Update on NetApp Harvest (2.0 & 1.7) post on the NetApp Community site.

If your company has Dell EMC equipment that’s ready for replacement, and you’d prefer to use NetApp technology, share this webpage with your colleagues.

If you’re not sure whether to renew your NetApp support contract because you might be refreshing equipment soon, you can renew without risk. If you refresh equipment, we’ll apply the unused portion of your support contract to your new hardware. For more information, take a look at Service Credit Requests for Tech Refresh.
